FIFA MASTER ALUMNI - WHERE ARE THEY NOW? - PAOLA MICHELLE

Paola Michelle

Current Position: Team Services Account Manager - FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.

Year of graduation: 2019 (19th edition)

Nationality: Dominican Republic / USA

What does your current role involve?

I joined the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ in January 2021. My role is to oversee and manage operational team matters for four of the thirty-two qualified Qatar FIFA World Cup teams.

In addition, I was the Project Manager for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ Team Seminar and Team Workshops held in April 2022 and July 2022. Both of these events were held in Doha.

Which aspects of the FIFA Master course have helped you most in your career?

Along with many graduates from the course, the FIFA Master was one of the best years of my life to date. One of the greatest takeaways I have was definitely the exposure to different cultures and the field visits to multiple sports entities. To be able to build up your sport business network as a result of the opportunities provided by the course is very valuable in our industry.

It is hard to believe when I look back now that I was even considering alternative online courses! Living the FIFA Master experience on a daily basis and the people you meet during the year is the main strength of the course.

What advice would you give to future students on the course?

Make the most of your time on the FIFA Master as it goes by so fast! Embrace the differences of your colleagues and Professors as you will gain so much from their local experiences in the sports industry.

FIFA Master - International Master in Management, Law and Humanities of Sport, ranked No.1 Course in Europe 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 by the SportBusiness International global rankings.
