We were delighted to learn that Nour Elzeny, who is Head of the Communications module on the FIFA/CIES Executive Programme organised by the University of Cairo, has been named as one of the 50 most influential women in Egypt.

Nour Elzeny was honoured at an event organised by the magazine Amwal Al Ghad to reward high-profile Egyptian women for their professional and academic contributions, as well as their involvement in wider society.

Under the auspices of the Egyptian Prime Minister, the ceremony brought together the Minister of Social Solidarity, the Minister of Planning and Administrative Reform, the Minister of Transport, the Minister of the Public Sector, the President of the National Council of Women and Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Egypt and many other business leaders.

The Forum of the 50 Most Influential Women in Egypt aims not only to recognise women’s contribution to their country, but also to support them in their efforts to promote the development of various sectors of the national economy.

Nour Elzeny is a communications manager in various fields at both international and national levels and also works with various NGOs, devoting considerable energy to promoting greater recognition of women in the economy.

Speaking of the delight in receiving her award she said “It is a great satisfaction to see my efforts - and those of my colleagues - recognised. The role of women in the construction and development of the country is essential. This award encourages us to continue our work to build an even better Egypt.”

Finally, she describes her teaching activities for the American University of Cairo and the FIFA/CIES Executive Programme organised with Cairo University with great enthusiasm.

“Education is essential to train the young people who will tomorrow work for the good of the country. Teaching is a source of satisfaction and pride. With regard to the FIFA/CIES Executive Programme, I am pleased to have contributed, for more than 10 years now, to building an open and competent generation of managers. I work with men and women from different countries who are eager to learn and improve management of their organisations working in football and other sports. Over years, I have noticed how the impact of this Programme has helped so many people to fulfil their dreams. I am very much honoured, therefore, to be part of the course lecturers and I am looking forward to contributing even more to this great success!”

We send our congratulations to Nour Elzeny and wish her every success in her career.
