Wednesday 8th March will be International Women’s Day (IWD) 2023. First established in the 1900’s, the day is a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
The theme for this year is #EmbraceEquity and the FIFA Master will once again be marking the event with a full week of promotion to highlight just some of our female graduates now working in global sport.
Over the next few days look out for a special FIFA Master ‘Where are they now?’ interview with Stephanie Holmes who is a FIFA Master 20th edition graduate and now works as Licensing and Merchandise Manager at Football Australia.
Further, we will be broadcasting the latest episode of the CIES Webinar series which will consider, "The Growth of Women's Football", and will be streamed live on Wednesday 8th March 2023 at 17:00 CET.
During this webinar our special guest speakers, who are all FIFA Master course graduates, will discuss the continuing evolution and growth of women’s football, and particularly as we approach the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand later this summer.
Although International Women’s Day is only held on one date, the key themes of gender equality, female leadership and women’s sport are addressed during the full academic year of the FIFA Master.
