CIES & FIFA Master events planned to mark International Women’s Day 2022

Tuesday 8th March will be International Women’s Day (IWD) 2022. First established in the 1900’s, the day is a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.

The theme for this year is #BreakTheBias and the FIFA Master will once again be marking the event with a full week of promotion to highlight just some of our female graduates now working in global sport.

Over the next few days look out for a FIFA Master ‘Where are they now?’ interview post and a special CIES Webinar which will all be linked to International Women’s Day 2022.

The first episode of the third season of the CIES Webinar series is titled, ‘Women in Sport’ and will be streamed live on YouTube on Tuesday 8th March (International Women’s Day 2022) at 2pm CET. The webinar panel members will be:

Meskerem Tadesse Goshime, Senior Manager of Women's Football Development at Confederation Africaine de Football (CAF) and 2016 FIFA Master graduate.

Sofia Malizia, Members Associations Governance Manager at FIFA and 2018 FIFA Master graduate.

Veronika Mühlhofer, Venue Press Operations Manager at Paris 2024 and 2004 FIFA Master graduate.

The webinar will be moderated by Julian Smith, FMA President and 2019 FIFA Master graduate.
