FIFA Master 21st Edition Class Industry Meetings Underway!

As part of the opening Humanities of Sport module of the FIFA Master, the 21st edition class have had the opportunity to learn more about some of the biggest names and venues in British sport, such as the London 2012 Olympic Park, the All England Lawn Tennis Club Wimbledon, Rugby School, Manchester United FC, Leicester City FC, Manchester City FC, National Football Museum and the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) in a series of meetings.

In these current challenging times, a blended learning approach has been used, with the class attending a combination of either onsite visits or specially arranged virtual tours where a physical trip was not possible due to local covid health and safety travel restrictions. However, despite these challenges, all of the meetings provided the class with an extended opportunity to learn more about the inner workings of each organisation thanks to the generosity of the Chief Executives, Club Directors, First Team Coaches, Head of Departments, Senior Managers and organisation representatives who all took the time to meet with the current class and engage in the extensive Q and A sessions which followed the detailed presentations delivered to the group. These will all support the ongoing studies and development of the class as they build their careers in international sport.

James Panter who is the Humanities of Sport Module Coordinator, and who arranged the extensive series of meetings said, "Despite the current situation, I am extremely pleased that the class still had the opportunity to meet with so many senior representatives, and across such a broad range of organisations and sports. I would like to say a huge thank you to everybody who met with the class during these talks, and for delivering such engaging presentations for the group on their various roles. We are extremely grateful for their continued help and support".
