FIFA/CIES University Network: an alumna serving the community

Anna Mody Ndiaye, who attended the first edition of the FIFA/CIES Executive Programme organised in cooperation with Cheikh Anta Diop University (UCAD) in Dakar, is now devoting her knowledge and experience to the community. As the founder of the "Femme Développement Sport et Management" entity (Development of Women in Sport and Management), she is supervising the implementation of several sports-related projects in Senegal.

Anna Mody Ndiaye has the profile of a pioneer. Back in 2007, she decided to enrol on the first edition of the UCAD/FIFA/CIES Executive Programme in Sports Management. After completing the curriculum, she decided to invest in projects which help to serve the local community.

"Femme Développement Sport et Management" implements initiatives aimed at young people, with the objective of providing education for them from a very young age. In 2016, the entity organised an initiation to handball camp in Lounga, one of the 15 administrative regions of Senegal and which is located in the north-west of the country. The second edition took place in September.

"Femme Développement Sport et Management" is also extending its projects to senior citizens by offering them assistance to go walking on nearby beaches.

"We are working with the National Committee for Promotion and Development of Sport for All, which is active throughout the Senegalese territory. Our objective is now to develop gymnastics at a basic level and to support the training of future champions", said Anna.

We extend our best wishes for success to Anna, and for her excellent new initiatives which serve her community and sport in Senegal more generally.
