New job opportunity at CIES - Scientific Collaborator (80% - 100%)

CIES invites applications for the position of Scientific Collaborator at 80% - 100% with responsibility for assisting research projects related to sports development and governance. Female applicants are encouraged to apply.

Profile (Skills and Requirements):

The qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience outlined below provide a summary ofthe key requirements for this vacancy. They will also form the basis of the selection criteria on which the decision on who to appoint will be made. As a result, please ensure that you show how you meet all of the criteria outlined below in your application.

  • Master's degree or equivalent. A doctorate degree would be a strong asset.
  • The ideal candidate will be experienced in sports research and consultancy activities.They will have a multi-disciplinary profile and a wide knowledge of sports development and governance issues.
  • Strong writing skills in English with editorial fluency and an analytical mind are essential as well as experience in the creation, drafting and presentation of research reports.
  • Knowledge of qualitative research methods (interviews, analysis of literature, etc.) and the ability to evaluate and review projects. Knowledge of quantitative research methods (questionnaires, statistics, etc.) is also highly desirable.
  • Excellent oral and written command of English, ideally English as a mother tongue. Good knowledge of French and Spanish would be considered as a strong asset.
  • Swiss national, « C » permit, or European passport holder.

Start date : January 2015
