Night of European Rugby for the 14th Edition FIFA Master Class

On Friday 18th October, the 14th edition FIFA Master class had the chance to enjoy an evening of European rugby cup action as Leicester Tigers welcomed Benetton Treviso for their first home Heineken Cup game of the season. For many of the FIFA Master class this was their first taste of live rugby union and was the perfect way to end a busy week of lectures. Leicester Tigers, who had earlier hosted a class field visit, finished the match as 34 – 3 winners.

The 14th edition FIFA Master class are currently based at De Montfort University in the International Centre for Sports History and Culture. As part of the Humanities of Sport module the group have already had the chance to study important themes such as legacy, amateurism and professionalism, gender, the birth of modern sport and the history of football.

The class will be based in Leicester until Christmas before moving to SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan for the Management of Sport module. This will be followed by the Sports Law module at the University of Neuchâtel in Switzerland.

Applications for the 15th edition (2014/2015) of the programme are now open. Visit the below link for more information:
