The CIES Football Observatory launches the Big-5 Weekly Post

The CIES Football Observatory gets closer to its audience by publishing a Big-5 Weekly Post. The first issue is available to download for free from the CIES Football Observatory website at www.eurofootplayers.org.

Throughout the season, the Football Observatory compares leagues and clubs according to a number of demographic indicators. The Big-5 Weekly Post also provides exclusive statistics on the performance of individual players elaborated from raw data provided by our partner company Opta.

The first edition deals with the issue of expatriates. During the last round, 89.6% of total minutes played by footballers at Inter Milan were by players who did not grow up in Italy. This is the highest figure measured in the five major European championships. At league level, the greatest percentage is to be found in England (56.5%).

If you would like further information on our data, we invite you to register to receive our weekly email alerts by filling in the registration form at the bottom left of the home page at www.eurofootplayers.org
