The course team, partner universities and alumni are proud to reveal that FIFA Master - International Master in Management, Law and Humanities of Sport has maintained its position as the No.1 ranked Postgraduate Sport Management course in Europe for a record ninth time in the new 2021 SportBusiness rankings.
The FIFA Master, which is currently celebrating 20 years of sport business education, will hold a special conference later this week (10th - 11th September) at the FIFA headquarters in Zurich called, “FIFA Master 20 Years Anniversary: Sport & Future Conference”. The conference will also be the 10th FIFA Master Alumni (FMA) World Gathering and will not only be an important occasion for former students from around the world to once again meet, but will also provide an opportunity to celebrate this latest ranking achievement.
Assessment criteria such as careers after graduation, student satisfaction, course intake diversity, analysis of networking opportunities and wider university partnerships were all used by Sport Business to produce the final global course ranking results.
When asked about her experiences on the course, graduate Alexa Vickroy, who is now Member Relations Manager for U.S. Soccer said, “The FIFA Master course was the transition point in my career that allowed me to make the jump of working at an international level. The main aspect of the course for me is the network you can build through the opportunities to meet with other sports organizations, alumni and people willing to help you succeed”. This view was further endorsed by Sofia Malizia from Argentina / Italy and who now works as a Member Association Governance Manager at FIFA. She noted, “The FIFA Master gave me the tools needed for making choices in my professional career and to work in an international environment”.
The FIFA Master is now firmly established as one of the most respected courses within the global sports industry and the latest 2021 success follows previous No.1 rankings in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.
Gomezgani Zakazaka who is Competitions and Communications Director at the Football Association of Malawi added, “The time I spent in Europe on the course opened my eyes to how big world sport is as an industry. You can’t ask for anything better to help you grasp the ever-evolving international sports scene than being on the FIFA Master”.
