Trinidad and Tobago: Graduation ceremony held for students of the FIFA/CIES International Programme

Students from the 16th edition of the FIFA/CIES International Programme in Sports Management, organised by the University of the West Indies (UWI), received their diplomas at a ceremony held on the St. Augustine campus.

This brought their studies, which began in September 2025, to a successful close. Combining three residential sessions and online courses, the programme familiarised the graduates with the ever-changing world of sports management and enabled them to exchange ideas with numerous national and international experts.

Dr Acolla Lewis-Cameron, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, emphasised the importance of this course for the development of sport in Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean region. She also welcomed the twenty new students from six different countries who will be attending the new edition of the FIFA/CIES International Programme. This geographical diversity demonstrates the programme's openness to sports throughout the region, as well as its excellent reputation.

CIES congratulates the graduates: Akil, Dareem, Dominique, Jordan, Kelsey, Melissa, Nikhil, Owen, Samora, Tyrique, Thalia, Travis, Vashish, Victoria and Garfield. We also welcome the new students who have started their nine-month course with the UWI team, whom we would like to thank for their excellent work over many years.
