Kevin Tallec Marston

Travaillant au CIES depuis 2005 comme chercheur et responsable de projets académiques, Kevin est titulaire d’un doctorat en histoire obtenu au International Centre for Sport History and Culture à la De Montfort University, Leicester où il collabore également comme visiting researcher and lecturer.

Ses recherches historiques portent principalement sur le football des jeunes, la question de l’âge dans le sport, la place de la jeunesse dans la société, l’évolution du rôle de l’éducation et la formation des jeunes autour du sport et la prosopographie des dirigeants sportifs, ainsi que des thèmes tels le « legacy », la diffusion, la fraternité et le transnationalisme.

En parallèle, Kevin porte un intérêt particulier aux questions de gouvernance sportive, thématique approfondie dans deux publications récentes traitant des rapports entre parties prenantes du football. Ses travaux examinent spécifiquement les dimensions historique, politique et économique, et surtout relatives aux instances Européenne (UEFA) et mondiale (FIFA) du football. Il a dirigé de nombreuses recherches appliquées sur mandat de la FIFA concernant le football professionnel, notamment sur la réglementation de la taille des effectifs dans les ligues, les quotas de joueurs étrangers, la propriété étrangère des clubs de football, les droits de retransmission, les aspects commerciaux et sponsoring des clubs, la multi-propriété des clubs, les arriérés de paiement, la règlementation portant sur les agents.

En plus de ses activités de recherche et d’enseignement, il exerce, en collaboration étroite avec le Comité Scientifique du FIFA Master, des responsabilités de coordination académique/scientifique, du développement du curriculum et du programme en général ainsi que la préparation méthodologique pour les projets de recherche (Final Projects). En tant que manager des projects académiques il mène régulièrement des projets éducatifs, programmes de formation ou de recherche ainsi que des workshops pour des organisations telles que l’UEFA et la FIFA.

Il a déjà enseigné et fait des communications en français et en anglais, parle et lit couramment l’italien et possède des connaissances de l’espagnol.
