Live streaming of “Manipulation of sports competitions” symposium

The International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) in Neuchâtel will this Wednesday (20th January 2016) host  an ambitious scientific symposium entitled "Manipulation of  sports competitions" - marking 20 years of CIES activities.

 

To enable the greatest number of people to have access to the presentations and debates, the conference will be  "live streamed”  as a  broadcast  on  :

This conference brings together many specialists whose expertise will help better understand the challenges of this phenomenon and describe the measures already taken or still to be taken to detect and prevent manipulation. Guests will include, Thierry Pujol, Sport Integrity Director at Française des jeux, Denis Oswald, honorary professor at Université de Neuchâtel and IOC member, Nicholas Raudenski, Integrity Manager at FIFA, Pierre Cornu, Judge at the cantonal court of Neuchâtel, Wilhelm Rauch, General counsel of OFSPO and Laurent Vidal, Professor at Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne.

ABOUT CIES

CIES is an independent study centre located in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. It was created in 1995 as a joint venture between the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the University of Neuchâtel, the City and State of Neuchâtel. Using a multi-disciplinary approach (law, sociology, geography, management and history), CIES provides research, top-level education and consulting services to the sports world with the aim of overcoming the complexities of sport in today's society and improving how it is governed and managed across all sports.
