Cheikh Anta Diop University (UCAD) in Dakar (Senegal), a dynamic CIES partner since 2006, has officially launched the 10th edition of the FIFA/CIES Executive Programme in Sports Management. The new course will start in October 2016.
The Programme enables people from different professional and sporting backgrounds to familiarize themselves with modern management tools in key areas such as marketing, sponsorship, law, management, communication, finance and event management. Adapted to regional and national requirements, the course also offers the opportunity to attend lectures given by international FIFA/CIES experts.
For the 10th edition of the Programme, UCAD wishes to welcome even more candidates from other countries in the sub-region, where sports entities need to familiarize themselves with the best practices of modern sport management.
Senegalese student Badara Ndiaye (Class of 2015) comments: “No manager should run sports activities without an appropriate education. Consequently, I recommend the UCAD/FIFA/CIES Executive Programme”.
8th edition Moroccan student, Anass Séghir adds: “On a personal level, my participation in the Programme gave me the opportunity to discover a new culture and gather new knowledge. On a professional level, it boosted my career. This Programme enabled me to become more self-confident and believe in my own abilities”.
Finally, Marie Paule Goudiaby, a student from Guinea (Class of 2012) emphasises: “Yes, I recommend this Programme to everybody because it allows participants to understand many aspects related to sport at both national and international levels, for education, networking and friendship”.
The FIFA/CIES Executive Programme in Sports Management in Senegal is part of the FIFA/CIES International University Network which comprises 16 universities throughout the world: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Egypt, Lebanon, Palestine, Peru, Poland, Russia, South Africa, Senegal, Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, the United Arab Emirates and Venezuela.
