CIES becomes partner of iWorkinSport Job Fair

On 19th May 2017, the SwissTech Convention Center, Lausanne, will host a new international careers fair focused solely on the global sports industry. The new iWorkinSport Job Fair will gather some of the most renowned organisations in the industry and will provide interview and recruitment opportunities for students and alumni from some of the most prestigious sport management courses in Europe, such as the “FIFA Master” - International MA in Management, Law and Humanities of Sport, which is now firmly established as one of the most respected courses in the world.

Being part of the initial process for the creation of this new recruitment fair concept, CIES continues to maintain its long tradition of leading the way in the development and evolution of sports and academic activities. As part of this ongoing commitment to iWorkinSport, CIES is pleased to announce it has now become a partner of the event.

Speaking about the new partnership, iWorkinSport Job Fair creator and Director Joao Frigerio said, “CIES was the first institution to come on board, and they have continued to be a major supporter of this new event. They understood from the start that this would be an important platform where all participating courses could join together and provide a unique opportunity for a wide number of students and alumni to all benefit from a dedicated large scale recruitment fair. I am extremely grateful to CIES for their support, as this event would not have been possible without them”.

One of the major benefits of the privileged partner status is the opportunity for CIES to attend with not only the thirty members of the current 17th edition “FIFA Master” class but also to be able to invite an additional thirty members of the course alumni network who might also be considering a career move in global sport.

The organisations who will be recruiting and who have already confirmed their attendance at the 2017 iWorkinSport include: Adidas, FIFA, FISE, IMG, Infront Sports & Media, Libra Law, mycujoo, NBA, PwC, Soccerex, Sportcal, Sportradar, TEAM Marketing and UEFA.

In addition to the hundreds of job interviews taking place, iWorkinSport Job Fair will also host a programme of relevant industry discussions and presentations which will focus on how to build a career in the sports industry.

The iWorkinSport Job Fair is co-organised by ENGAGE Sport & Entertainment, a Swiss-based events company, and the sports innovation network ThinkSport. The inaugural event has the support of the International Centre for Sports Studies – CIES (Privileged Partner), WORKS Ltd (Design Partner), Wiz-Team (IT Partner), and local hosts, City of Lausanne and the State of Vaud.

Students and alumni of the “FIFA Master” - International MA in Management, Law and Humanities of Sport are invited to register to attend and also to book interviews with recruiters from some of the most prominent names in the world of sport.
