End of a successful second edition of CIES Intrapreneurship for the Sports Industry programme

It’s time to celebrate!  It is with great pride that CIES announces the end of the second edition of the Intrapreneurship for the Sports Industry programme. 20 participants from 4 continents took part to an enriching learning journey bringing their different perspectives and expertise.

In 8 modules, participants have developed their skills in order to create innovative strategies and to transform sports organisations from within with a view to spotting opportunities and facing future challenges for the industry.

In CIES’ willingness to strengthen its community of alumni and offer them further opportunities, the programme welcomed a majority of former participants to FIFA/CIES International University Network.

Kyome Pascall Mortley (UWI 2016, Trinidad and Tobago) said: “The programme has truly surpassed all of my expectations. This programme was able to provide in depth content to help current, and future innovators in sport hone their ideas, and better understand the Intrapreneurship process from Idea Generation to The Art of Pitching. The facilitators did not hold back on sharing their expertise and experience with us, which further enhanced the value of participating in this programme.”

Mauricio Palomino (USMP 2018, Peru) commented that: “The Intrapreneurship programme was very interesting and complete. I learned new knowledge about topics like Design thinking or Storytelling, and hone others I saw before in past studies. Besides, the cohort was very diverse, from all over the world, and great professionals from the sport industry."

Luyanda Peter (NMU 2017, South Africa) Praised the programme: “A great learning curve for me in understanding how to navigate the internal workings of a business. I enjoyed the lessons on Design Thinking, creating company culture and managing internal politics. This is a great course for anyone who wants lead innovation within a company, or someone who wants to encourage an entrepreneurial mindset within their business. A worthwhile investment."
