Poland: Damian Juszczyk appointed to the position of Press Officer at Wisla Kraków SA

We are pleased to announce that Damian Juszczyk, a Polish 1st edition alumnus of the FIFA/CIES International University Network Programme in Sports Management, which is organized at Kozminski University, Poland, has been appointed to the position of Press Officer at Wisla Kraków SA. The club, who play in the Polish first division, was founded in 1906 and is one of the oldest and most successful teams in the country.

What does the new position mean to you?

From my point of view, acting as press officer involves taking responsibility for the entire image of the club. This is how I understand my future duties. Communicating with the media, and further with the public, I am the person who creates the positive image of Wisla Kraków. This is a big responsibility but also a big honour.

What are your new duties?

First of all, I am responsible for creating website content, coordinating the Press Office, ongoing communication with journalists and managing our social media platforms. Furthermore, communicating with Wisla’s supporters is also a matter of great importance to me. I am also responsible for wider promotional and marketing activities. Clearly, the most challenging part of my job is to respond appropriately to events and possible emergencies. There are also many less compelling, but equally important, daily duties. Generally speaking I must confess that my new position fills me with a lot of joy.

Has the FIFA/CIES Programme in Sports Management helped you to fulfill your new duties?

Definitely. Thanks to the programme, where I acquired a wide range of knowledge and experiences, I can better reach my objectives and perform my new responsibilities. This is also the reason why I support newly recruited students of this Programme, be it in Poland or the entire FIFA/CIES Network. I wish them every success in following their own sports passion!
