Poland: Registrations for the second edition of the FIFA/CIES Programme

Kozminski University (KU), the academic partner of the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES), launched the registration process for the second edition of the FIFA/CIES Programme in sport management in Poland. The course is organised with the support of PL.2012+, the entity in charge of managing « PGE Narodowy », stadium.

The organisation of the FIFA/CIES Programme is the result of the commitment of PL.2012+ to contribute to the legacy of EURO 2012 in Poland in the field of education. Classes will allow students to acquire essential knowledge in marketing, sponsorship, law, management, communication, finance and organisation of sports events.

KU, one of the top Polish universities, has the responsibility to adapt course content to the needs and realities of national sport. Moreover, the Programme offers students the opportunity to attend conferences given by international experts who share original views on ways to manage organisations or sports events.

Programme alumnus Filip Adamus believes that: « [t]his Programme is for everyone who is interested in sport. (….). You learn about the complexity and possibilities in the sport area. Our group was diverse and everyone had different experiences connected with sport. This resulted in many interesting discussions. We are still in touch, and who knows, perhaps we will implement some of our joint projects in the near future. »

The International University Network created within the framework of the FIFA/CIES Programme comprises 16 universities in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Egypt, Lebanon, Palestine, Poland, Peru, Russia, Senegal, Spain, South Africa, Trinidad and Tobago, the United Arab Emirates and Venezuela.
