Senegal: Success for a FIFA/CIES University Network alumni

Ndeye Amy Birama Fall, an alumni from the UCAD/FIFA/CIES Executive Programme in Sports Management (class of 2016) has just been appointed to the Executive Board of the Senegalese Tennis Federation (Fédération Sénégalaise de Tennis).

Appointed by the Minister for Sports, Ndeye Amy Birama Fall is tasked with advising the Senegalese Tennis Federation on all managerial, administrative, financial, legal and communication issues: “The decision has been made to include sports managers with an academic background in all our federations. The UCAD/FIFA/CIES Executive Programme plays an important role in this regard in light of the quality of the curriculum taught.”

The work undertaken by Ndeye on a day-to-day basis is varied, with many different tasks. “My duties involve ensuring the proper functioning of the Federation, a mission that is both complex and fascinating. Being a manager is not always easy, but the Programme has given me essential tools which help me fulfil my duties with courage. This will allow me to meet my commitments, for tennis and for sport!”

We extend all our congratulations to Ndeye. We are sure that her enthusiasm and passion will stand her in good stead for success in her new duties.
