Miguel Cardenal, who is Director of the Chair in sports law at the University King Juan Carlos, has been appointed President of the Superior Council of Sports and Secretary of State for Sport by the Spanish Council of Ministers. Dr. Cardenal is also co-organizer of the FIFA/CIES Programme in Sports Management at the University King Juan Carlos.
