The Beginning!

The FIFA Master 24th Edition are here!

It has been three weeks since twenty-six professionals from all over the world touched down in the charming city of Leicester. Although we come with such diversity, we’ve arrived with a single dream - to become a FIFA Master.

The initial days of settling in are past us and we’ve dived steadfast into lectures and field visits, for the start of our Humanities of Sport module studies at De Montfort University’s International Centre for Sports History and Culture and we couldn’t have asked for a better start to the programme.

Several international celebrations and football games have ensured that we very quickly have become a family. As a few FIFA Master alumni have already pointed out to us, ‘cherish every moment together because the year will go by in a blink of an eye’ and that is exactly what we have been doing.

The month also saw us make our way through some memorable field visits, namely to the London Olympic Park where we explored the legacy left behind by the London 2012 Olympic Games, the All England Lawn Tennis Club where we got a taste of the business of the world’s first lawn tennis competition - Wimbledon, and finally to Rugby School where we were treated to a tour around the birthplace of football and rugby.
