The Universidad Metropolitana (UNIMET), which has been a CIES partner since 2010, has just launched the enrolment procedure for the 7th edition of the FIFA/CIES Executive Programme in Sport Management (Diplomado Internacional en Gerencia Deportiva). The course is organised with the support of Gerencia Deportiva Internacional (GDI) and its subsidiary GZ. Classes will start in September 2016.
The FIFA/CIES Programme allows people from various professional and sporting backgrounds to familiarise themselves with modern management tools in key areas such as sports marketing, sponsorship, law, management, communication, finances and event management. Adapted to regional and national requirements, it also offers the opportunity to attend lectures given by international experts invited by FIFA and the CIES.
Henry Roldán Sesti (Class 2015) considers that: ”The themes taught in classes are indispensable to a better vision of the realities of the sporting world. Furthermore, the Programme fosters fruitful networking with one’s classmates.”
For his part, Enrique Veloccia (Class 2015) mentions that: “The professors know how to get important messages through. They aim to make them relevant to real life. I recommend the Programme 100%!”
And Jaine Oteyza Blanch (Class 2014) adds: “The main strengths of the Programme are the lectures given by experts from other parts of the world. The added benefit of this is that they are based on concrete examples at both national and international level."
Organised in Venezuela thanks to GDI’s support and pioneering spirit, the FIFA/CIES Programme is currently offered in 16 countries, namely: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Egypt, Lebanon, Palestine, Peru, Poland, Russia, Senegal, South Africa, Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, the United Arab Emirates and Venezuela.
