VIDEO launched by CIES Observatory

The CIES Observatory is pleased to be able to launch a new information VIDEO, highlighting its research expertise. The new video follows the successful launch of the official CIES and FIFA Master Facebook pages, the CIES twitter page and the FIFA Master video on the CIES youtube Channel.  !!!!

The CIES Observatory is a dedicated research team of experts specialized in the statistical analysis of sport. Its aim is to provide top level services for sports governing bodies in the areas of surveys, databases, data mining, sport business intelligence and reporting. The CIES Observatory regularly initiates research activities and develops joint projects with a wide array of stakeholders in the sports industry, which include, but are not limited to, Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), Fédération Internationale de Basketball (FIBA), Opta, RunningBall and France Football.

Since 2005, the CIES has also endorsed the Professional Football Players Observatory (PFPO) which was set up by the current CIES Observatory chief researchers Dr Raffaele Poli and Dr Loïc Ravenel, and renamed as the CIES Football Observatory in 2011 within the context of a broader CIES Observatory project.

The aim of the new CIES Observatory video  is to showcase the work and outputs of the research project. The resource will also demonstrate to the international sports industry that the unique work of the CIES Observatory can contribute to the better governance of football. In addition, its rigorous statistical methodology approach can also be applied to many other sports, such as for example basketball.

We encourage all supporters and followers of our foundation to help us by distributing as much as possible this promotional video via the above social media resources but also via your individual personal networks (eg contacts, partners and collaborators).

This new video is available in the on the CIES youtube Channel
