Where is the time going!? The 23rd edition FIFA Master class is almost out of Milano!

Our time in Milano is flying! Days go by so fast here that it seems like only yesterday that words about our arrival to Italy were being written.

In just three more weeks our proud FIFA Master 23rd edition class will end its second stop of this academic and self-growing journey.

Over the past two months inside our classrooms at SDA Bocconi School of Management – which was recently ranked No.6 in the world – we have gone from Management 101 to deep lectures by both Bocconi-based Professors and industry guest speakers, which just keep bewildering our learning senses.

Guest lectures by representatives from Lega Serie A, FIBA, Qatar 2022 Organization Committee, Infront, Ryder Cup and PwC are just some examples of the high-level education we are receiving. The future is now set for us to make some important sporting business decisions so be ready!

Although we have not had as many field visits as we were fortunate to have in Leicester during our Humanities of Sport module at De Montfort University, nevertheless, going to Ferrari’s facilities in Maranello was more than enough to fill our desire of exploring the operation and performance of major organizations from the inside. Also, checking the cars out was not bad at all!

However, there is no time to relax, as our sport management module has become extremely busy in the last couple of weeks. This is probably why the hours come and go as if they were seconds!

We have already had assessments on sports marketing, sports technology and sporting events. In addition, our Final Project periodical submissions and updates also needed to be submitted. Also, job searching is starting to echo through our classroom walls. Sounds hard work, right? It is, but collecting this vast career-changing knowledge is fun too.

Incredible as it seems, the next article in this series will come from Neuchâtel in Switzerland, where we will be completing the sports law module, at the University of Neuchâtel – and another leader in its field. This will be our last destination of the FIFA Master.

Smaller city, new vibes, improving weather. The lake view and working below a tree in the middle of a park will be a reality soon enough.

For now, though, be assured that we will give it our all to close up the Milano experience with a bang. We are an edition that knows only one speed: full speed. So, at the right time, we will study, work and enjoy ourselves to the maximum.

David Goldberg (Costa Rica), FIFA Master 23rd edition student.
