What does your current role involve?

In my current role, I am responsible for overseeing all of Sela Sport’s commercial partnerships for different properties such as General Sports Authority, Saudi Professional League, Saudi National Team, La Liga MENA and the Arab Championship. The past two years with Sela have been incredible working on global events in Saudi Arabia like WWE, Race of Champions, Superclassico (Argentina v Brazil), Boxing World Championship and the forthcoming Italian Super Cup (Juventus vs Ac Milan).

In addition, I am developing marketing strategies for existing and potential sponsors, developing partnership packages and inventories. Another part of my role is executing commercial rights and monitoring its application during events and matches.

Which aspects of the FIFA Master course have helped you most in your career?

The course has helped me a lot thanks to the programme journey from Leicester to Neuchatel. The three different modules added a lot of value to my career path, both academically and professionally.

Academically, the FIFA Master programme gave me valuable knowledge in the three areas of Management, Law and the Humanities of Sport.  Professionally, during the course we visited many global organizations, such as UEFA, FIFA, AC Milan and many more. From these visits, we were able to gain an insight into the organizations, and better understand how they operate on a global scale. You can then add to that the massive networking opportunities you gain through FIFA Master Alumni who work in top sport organizations all over the world.

What advice would you give to future students on the course?

My advice would be to keep your eyes open and do not put any expectations on the course journey. Continue learning every day from your professors, colleagues, guest speakers and the visits you will have during the programme. I also recommend you keep in touch with the network during the programme, as you never know where it will take you after you have graduated. The FIFA Master is an amazing journey, enjoy every single day of it!
