7th edition of the FIFA/CIES Programme in Senegal
Partner of CIES since 2006, the Université Cheikh Anta Diop (UCAD) in Dakar (Senegal) has officially launched the 7th edition of the FIFA/CIES Programme in sport management. The course will start in November 2012.
The Programme enables people from various professional and sporting backgrounds to familiarise themselves with modern management tools in key areas such as marketing, sponsorship, law, management, communication, finance and event management. Adapted to regional and national realities, it also offers the opportunity to attend lectures given by international FIFA/CIES experts.
Oumar Seck, a student of the sixth edition of the UCAD / FIFA / CIES programme, can now understand that all sports organizations must transform themselves into real businesses. Oumar noted, "Now, I think I hold the best academic background to make sport more modern and conquering”.
For his part, his colleague Seyni Guédel Mbodj emphasized that, “Thanks to the FIFA/CIES Programme, I have become more competitive and efficient, thus more professional. The Programme has also enabled me to broaden my network and increase my friendships”.
The International University Network created in the framework of the FIFA/CIES Programme comprises 13 universities throughout the world.
