Diplomas awarded to the students of the 4th edition of the FIFA/CIES Programme in Venezuela
The students of the 4th edition of the FIFA/CIES Programme in sport management were awarded their diplomas recently during a ceremony organised at the “Centro de Extensión, Desarrollo Ejecutivo y Consultoría Organizacional” (CENDECO) at Metropolitana University (UNIMET) in Caracas.
UNIMET Rector Benjamín Scharifker awarded diplomas to twenty-four students in the presence of CENDECO Director María José González and Karolina Landaeta, representing GDI Gestión Deportiva Internacional, the Programme sponsor in Venezuela.
After the official speeches, two students emphasised the quality of the Programme teaching staff, the importance of the contacts with their classmates and the urgency of applying the knowledge gained over the last six months to national sport.
CIES thanks UNIMET for its drive and commitment, as well as GDI which did pioneering work by supporting the training of future sports executives in Venezuela.
Some thirty students will participate in the next edition of the UNIMET/FIFA/CIES Programme which will start on 16 September.
