Great successes for student from NMMU

Luleka Haya, a student from the 9th edition of the NMMU/FIFA/CIES Programme in sport management, was recently elected as the 2nd Vice President of University Sport South Africa (USSA).

USSA is considered the official unified national umbrella sports structure for the regulation, organisation and coordination of student sport activities in the tertiary education sector in South Africa.

Luleka hails from Bhisho, a city of approximately 6000 inhabitants which is part of the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality located in the Eastern Cape Province.

After having completed a degree in communication, she founded her own company which is active in the fields of event management and marketing.

Furthermore, Luleka recently served as the Head of the South African delegation to the 2015 FISU Winter Universiade held in Spain, last February.
