Lebanon: 19 students for the first FIFA/CIES Programme

18 marzo 2013

Last Saturday, nineteen students started the first edition of the FIFA/CIES Programme in Sport Management organised in Lebanon in cooperation with Notre Dame University - Louaize, a CIES partner since 2012.

The 19 students (including 5 ladies) will follow the Programme every Saturday until January 2014. Classes will be taught by specialists who will combine theory with practical examples adapted to the realities of Lebanese sport. Students will also be able to take part in international conferences in the fields of marketing, event management and communication.

Dr Maha Mouchantaf, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, indicated that NDU was very pleased to be able to offer a sport management programme with the support of FIFA and CIES: “In this field, there is still a great deal to be done in Lebanon. This is true of major sports federations as well as of clubs or small associations… We are certain that, together, we will contribute to the rise of a new generation of open-minded and competent managers”.

Finally, it should be noted that it is thanks to the efforts of Nadim Nassif, a FIFA Master alumnus, that CIES was able to sign the cooperation agreement with NDU, the academic and financial partner of the project.
