Registration opens for the third edition of the FIFA/CIES Executive Programme in Russia
The Higher School of Economics (HSE), the academic partner of the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES), has launched the registration process for the third edition of the FIFA/CIES Executive Programme in Sports Management.
The Programme allows students to acquire essential knowledge in marketing, sponsorship, law, management, communications, finance and the organisation of sports events.
HSE, one of the top Russian universities, has the responsibility of adapting the course content to the needs and requirements for sport administration in Russia. Moreover, the Programme offers students the opportunity to attend conferences delivered by international experts who share original views on the best techniques to manage organisations or sports events both nationally and internationally.
It is worth noting that, for the past two years, HSE has been able to develop close contacts with the main actors of Russian sport, which allows the university to give both practical and concrete examples during their classes.
Ludmila Kuznetsova, a student of the second edition of the HSE/FIFA/CIES Executive Programme commented, “I wanted to understand the whole process of mega-event organisation. This was met during my studies at HSE. Furthermore, the Programme offers high-quality teachers with wide experience in all fields of sport.“
For her part, Olga Laeve (Class of 2016) added, “It is absolutely impossible to overrate the positive effect of the Programme for me and everyone in our project team. It gave us the opportunity to make new friends and links, get new experience and share ideas.”
The International University Network created within the framework of the FIFA/CIES Programme comprises 16 universities in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Egypt, Lebanon, Palestine, Poland, Peru, Russia, Senegal, Spain, South Africa, Trinidad and Tobago, the United Arab Emirates and Venezuela.
