Winner of the FIFA/CIES University Network Award 2021 Announced
The FIFA/CIES University Network Award Jury held its annual meeting on 31st March 2021 to decide on the winning group project for 2021.
At the meeting, the Jury decided to award the FIFA/CIES University Network Award 2021 equally to two projects out of the 15 competing works, namely:
Universidad de Costa Rica, San José, Costa Rica
Carlos Brenes Soto, Shirley Cruz Traña, Lixy Rodríguez Zamora, Carol Sánchez Cruz
UNIFFUT's marketing plan for the sustainability of the women's football league in Costa Rica
Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi, UAE
Wadie Ibani, Mitri Hajjar
How eSports initiatives in UAE will help the introduction of eSports into the Olympic Games
Both of the winning projects reflect the different aspects that are expected from group work. Indeed, one of them particularly impressed the members of the Jury with its innovative approach. The other highlighted the tools needed by managers to implement and develop sports projects at a local level.
In addition, a special mention was given to the project submitted by the students of our academic partner in Peru:
