The President of the Scientific Committee
Professor Denis Oswald is supported by a Scientific Committee made up of representatives from the three partner universities of the course. He oversees the overall quality and coordination of the academic teaching within the FIFA Master and the selection of each edition’s graduates.
Besides his role as the Director of CIES, Oswald is an Honorary Professor of Law at the University of Neuchâtel and a highly regarded member of the international sportscommunity. An Attorney at law and Arbitrator for the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), he is also a Member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board.
A Former President of World Rowing and of the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF), he was also previously Head of both the Coordination Commission for the Athens 2004 and London 2012 Summer Olympic Games. His continuous commitment to the international sports community acts as an inspiration to everyone involved with the FIFA Master.
The Scientific Committee
The Scientific Committee fulfils mainly two key roles. The first is that it ensures the overall quality and coordination of academic teaching within the programme, and the second is that it has responsibility for the selection of the postgraduates for each edition of the course.
The FIFA Master Team
In addition, an administrative and coordination team is fully dedicated to the successful delivery of the course.
