Colombia: 4th FIFA/CIES International Programme kicks off

As part of the first session organised in Bogotá, twenty-three students began the 4th edition of the FIFA/CIES International Programme organised by Universidad Sergio Arboleda, with the support of the Federación Colombiana de Fútbol.

The students come from Colombia, Azerbaijan, Bolivia and Guatemala. Over a period of five months, they will alternate between online courses and face-to-face sessions to help familiarise themselves with the main aspects of sports management.

During the opening ceremony, each of the participants took to the floor in order to express their expectations, in particular their desire to share their knowledge and experience with the teaching staff, national and international experts and their classmates.

For the first time, the FIFA Foundation is funding students from programmes and projects that it has been supporting since 2018 with the aim of using football to unite the world and bring about positive change in society. We are very pleased with this cooperation, which will gradually be extended to other universities within the FIFA/CIES International University Network.
