From the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI) and International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) to the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), International Motorcycling Federation (FIM), and the International Olympic Committee (IOC), we’ve had the unique privilege of stepping inside some of the world’s most influential sports organizations. Witnessing firsthand how the beating heart of the sports industry operates on a day-to-day basis has been nothing short of humbling. Our tailored course has laid a solid foundation, enabling us to understand the intricacies of international operations and the core competencies these organizations seek.

One of the standout experiences was attending the iWorkinSport Job Fair, where we had the opportunity to engage directly with leading talent acquisition professionals from renowned organizations such as the European Club Association (ECA), SPORTFIVE, and adidas. Prior to embarking on this journey, none of us could have predicted where it would lead, who we would meet, or the invaluable insights we would gain along the way.

The course seamlessly integrated academic rigor with practical exposure. Our studies, particularly in legal modules covering intellectual property rights, merchandising, Swiss labor law, and sports governance have complemented our field visits to shape a clear path for our future careers in the sports industry.

Beyond the classroom, we've also had the joy of exploring Switzerland and its neighboring countries. Each Monday begins with enthusiastic conversations about our weekend travels. From the historic charm of Lucerne, Basel and Geneva to the Olympic spirit of Lausanne, and even crossing borders into France to admire the beauty of Strasbourg. These experiences have enriched our time in Neuchâtel, deepening not only our knowledge but also our appreciation for the cultural and geographical richness that surrounds us.

This journey has not just been about education; it has been a truly transformative experience, shaping both our professional ambitions and personal growth. As we look ahead, we carry with us the knowledge, connections, and memories forged during this remarkable chapter.

It’s bittersweet to realize that our studies are drawing to a close in just a month and a half. As we wrap up our sports law module studies and turn our focus to the capstone of our academic journey, the research module and Final Projects, we find ourselves both reflective and excited. In seven groups, we will delve into contemporary issues within the sports industry, exploring topics that not only interest us personally but also hold real-world relevance. It’s a fitting conclusion to a programme that has blended theory with practice, and academia with industry, in a way that few educational experiences can.
