28 new students in Palestine

Birzeit University (BZU) has just launched the 5th FIFA/CIES Programme in sport management. The class will include 28 students, which is a record number for Palestine.

The opening ceremony took place in the presence of BZU Vice-President Dr Samia Hulleila, Gen. Jibril Rajoub, President of the Palestinian Football Association (PFA), Programme Director Marwan Tarazi, Programme Coordinator Rania Abdelqader as well as Susan Shalabi, CIES Coordinator in Palestine and Member of the Executive Committee of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

All the speakers emphasised the positive impact of the cooperation between BZU, PFA and CIES on the development of Palestinian sport which is beginning to show excellent results at international level.

CIES wishes all the new students a warm welcome and hopes that their immersion in sport management will be successful.
