Annual friendly FMA against FIFA
As it happens every year, the FIFA Master Alumni has been once again kindly invited to play the annual friendly matches (women and men games) against FIFA at FIFA House in Zurich.
The women’s game started at 18h and the FMA Ladies’ team came back from behind to win by 2-1, with a brace by Honey Thaljieh.
Men’s team makes probably the best performance of the FMA men’s team ever. Although they didn’t field their strongest side, which had beaten UEFA just a couple of weeks ago, FIFA still came to the pitch strong, with a quality team and some great individual talent. However, Federico Raviglione from the FMA team scored all four goals on the 4-1 win of the men’s team.
FMA members (including those working at FIFA) gathered after the match and spent a cool time together in Zürich.
We’d like to thank FIFA for the hospitality, especially the FMA crew working there, who were determinant to make this event happen.
We look forward to going back in 2013!
