Big-5 Weekly Post - n°63
The 63rd edition of the Big-5 Weekly Post presents the statistics of the league of employment of players having participated in World Cup qualifications.
All teams that will participate in the World Cup have at least one player who participated in the qualification campaign currently under contract with a big-5 league club: from 38 players for Italy (of which 35 in the Italian Serie A) to only one for Ecuador, Iran and Russia.
The only country for which all footballers having participated in the qualifications play in the domestic league is England. Among the countries hosting the big-5 leagues, this percentage is below 50% only for France (11 players out of 31, 35.5%).
