Cairo University: Launch of the 6th FIFA/CIES Programme
Partner of CIES since 2007, Cairo University has officially launched the 6th edition of the FIFA/CIES Programme in sport management. The classes will start on August 21, 2013. The Programme will also now be presented in French for the first time.
From the start, Cairo University (CU) has opened the FIFA / CIES Programme to numerous students from Egypt and other countries (Bahrain, Nigeria, Qatar, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Syria, etc.). The course enables people from various professional and sporting backgrounds to familiarise themselves with modern management tools in key areas such as marketing, law, management, sponsoring, communication, finance and event management. Constantly aware of local needs and realities, CU lectures emphasise the important subjects of asset management, archiving, security and safety. The course also welcomes a wide range of international FIFA / CIES experts as guest speakers.
In response to increasing demand, the Programme ? already offered in Arabic and English ? will also now be presented in French starting with the next edition.
Mohamed Seif, a student taking part in the 5th edition, commented: « The FIFA/CIES Diploma in Sport Management was of great added value to me, both on personal and professional levels. Karim Fathi, student at the American University in Cairo and the youngest participant in the 4th Programme, added: « The FIFA/CIES Sport Management Programme provides a thorough grounding in sporting education. Instructors possess a valuable combination of academic facts, practical know-how and a local/international perspective in sports. CIES graduates are well prepared to drive necessary changes in the fast paced and evolving sporting environment. »
