Chile: Universidad Santo Tomás celebrates its graduates and welcomes new students
Universidad Santo Tomás, which runs the FIFA/CIES International Programme in Sports Management in Chile, has awarded diplomas to the twenty-nine students of the 18th edition cohort. The following day, it welcomed the twenty-seven new participants who will be attending classes until next December.
The closing ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Asociación Nacional del Fútbol Profesional (ANFP), in the presence of Andrea Solis Aguirre, Dean of the Faculty of Health at UST, Fernando Saavedra, National Director of Continuing Education at UST, Rodrigo Alvarado, Director of the UST/FIFA/CIES International Programme, and Michael Boys, CIES Coordinator in Chile. The graduates were able to reflect on the benefits of a course designed to help them better understand the many facets of contemporary sport in Chile.
Students on the latest edition of the FIFA/CIES International Programme, meanwhile, met in person for the first time at the Institute of Sports Sciences located at the Olympic Training Centre. On this occasion, they learnt about CIES’s activities and, in particular, the FIFA/CIES International University Network, which brings together twenty-two universities worldwide.
We congratulate the most recent graduates on the award of their diplomas, and also welcome the new class to UST, who have been our academic partner in the country since 2006.
"CIES, 30 years of impacting how sport is managed worldwide"
