CIES congratulates Gianni Infantino
The International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) warmly congratulates our former General Secretary, Gianni Infantino, on his election as FIFA President.
Prior to joining UEFA, Mr Infantino worked at CIES as legal counsel and General Secretary of the institution. As such, he participated in the development of the centre, by contributing to the creation of both the International Master in Management, Law and Humanities of Sport and the first sports management programmes for national football federations.
CIES is proud that one of our previous staff is now the new President of the world governing body for football.
The CIES team wishes Gianni Infantino every success in his new position.
