FIFA/CIES International Programme: Graduation Ceremony held in Puerto Rico

The International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) and the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus (UPRM), recently held the graduation ceremony for the fourth edition of the UPRM/FIFA/CIES International Programme in Sports Management.

The ceremony took place in the auditorium of the UPRM Faculty of Administration, where 19 students, including five from the Dominican Republic, received their diplomas after six months of study and more than 150 hours of classes. They are now part of a new generation of managers trained to better understand the contemporary sports environment.

Dr Agustín Rullá Toro, Rector of UPRM, Dr Roberto Seijo, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration UPRM, Francisco Rubio Sánchez, Scientific Coordinator of CIES LATAM, and Alexis Matías, Director of the Department of Leisure and Sports (DRD) of the Municipality of Mayagüez, attended the event.

Also in attendance were Prof. David F. Muñoz González, Programme Director, Dr Luis O. Del Río, Programme Coordinator, Jessica Rosa Andino, Coordinator and Representative of CIES in Puerto Rico, José Luis Muñiz, Head of the Sports Law Module, and Peter Rivera, Head of the Marketing/Sponsorship Module.
