Monday 8th March is International Women’s Day (IWD) 2021. First established in the 1900’s, the day is a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
The theme for this year is #ChooseToChallenge and the FIFA Master International MA, which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, will be marking the 2021 edition of IWD with a special campaign throughout the entire week to further highlight the achievements of our female alumni now working around the world.
Although IWD is only held on one date, the key themes of gender equality, female leadership and women’s sport are addressed during the full academic year, and all of our graduates continue to be supported well after graduation as they forge their careers in sport business.
The FIFA Master is particularly proud of the increasing number of applications received from female candidates and the gender balance now seen in the class. The last ten years, have seen a 33% increase in female representation, with the current 21st edition of the FIFA Master, which has twenty-five outstanding candidates in total, is 52% female for the first time.
As a course, we are committed to ensuring that all FIFA Master graduates have the same chances to excel in whatever career path they decide to take.
Keep following our social media accounts throughout the week as we celebrate IWD 2021!
