More than hundred students received their certificates at Cairo University
Cairo University (CU), CIES’s partner in Egypt, recently awarded certificates to more than hundred students from the 18th edition of the FIFA/CIES International Programme in Sports Management.
The ceremony was attended by Prof. Mohammad Hussein Reffat, vice president of the university; Prof. Lobna Mohamed Farid, dean of the Faculty of Commerce; Prof. Amira Mahran, associate dean of the Faculty of Commerce; Prof. Hesham El Behairy, Director of the Research and Commercial Study Center, and Mostafa Azzam, Secretary General of the Egyptian Football Association.
This edition brought together students from fourteen countries. Divided into different language sections (Arabic, English, and French), they explored the contemporary sports landscape during three nine-day in-person sessions on the university’s historic campus in Giza. They also had the opportunity to take part in various field trips, notably to the headquarters of the Egyptian Football Association and Zamalek Sporting Club.
Speakers at the closing ceremony highlighted the importance of the CU/FIFA/CIES International Programme for the sports ecosystem in Egypt and abroad. Indeed, since its inception in 2009, it has contributed to the training of more than one thousand managers active across the full spectrum of sports associations and the sports industry in Africa and the Middle East.
Congratulations to the students of the 18th edition of the CU/FIFA/CIES International Programme on their success, and a big thank you to the team at Cairo University for their excellent work.
