New issue of the Big-5 Weekly Post

The CIES Football Observatory is happy to inform that the 49th issue of the Big-5 Weekly Post has been published. This edition presents the data on the average number of players over 31 years of age fielded by clubs since the start of the season.

While clubs in Italy fielded on average 1.91 players over 31 years of age since the start of the season, this figure is only 0.88 in Germany. At club level, the highest number of over-31 players on the pitch was recorded at Fulham (3.7). At the opposite end of the table, 12 clubs did not field players aged 32 or over.
