The AFCON trophy makes a special appearance at the graduation ceremony in Dakar
On 31 January 2026, the National Higher Institute of Popular Education and Sport (INSEPS) of Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar organized the graduation ceremony for the 19th cohort of the FIFA/CIES International Programme in Sports Management. The event took place at the Khaly Amar Fall Auditorium.
The ceremony was highlighted by the presentation of the Africa Cup of Nations 2026 trophy won by Senegal, symbolically underlining the link between sporting excellence and management education.
The 19th cohort was under the patronage of Abdoulaye Fall, President of the Senegalese Football Federation. Also in attendance were the UCAD Rector, Prof. Alioune Badara Kandji, the INSEPS Director, Prof. Souleymane Diallo, as well as several academic leaders and representatives from the sports sector.
The cohort includes 41 graduates — 31 Senegalese and 10 international — who now join the 7,000 alumni of the FIFA/CIES International University Network, active in 21 countries and representing more than 130 nationalities. They are now ready to contribute to the development of sport in Senegal and across Africa through professional, ethical, and forward-looking governance.
