Top 5 Ranking in THREE SportBusiness International Award categories for FIFA Master Course

06 May 2015

The CIES / FIFA International MA in Management, Law and Humanities of Sport (FIFA Master) has again been named as one of the top 5 sports management courses in the world by SportBusiness International in their new 2015 rankings. Demonstrating the high quality reputation of both the course and its alumni, the FIFA Master is one of only two academic programmes to be a top 5 finalist in all three SportBusiness International Award categories.

The FIFA Master was ranked above 600 academic course and sports management alumni entries and will now compete for an overall award to be announced during a special WISE Work in Sports evening ceremony on Wednesday 6th May in Lausanne. The FIFA Master will be aiming to defend its title as the top postgraduate sports management course in the world, which it received from the same rankings in 2014.

For the new 2015 rankings, the FIFA Master has been shortlisted in the Overall Winner Category, Professors’ Choice Award category (the programme with the best reputation voted by course leaders) and the Graduates’ Choice Award category (Voted for by former students through a satisfaction survey).

The SportBusiness International rankings are recognised around the world as the most comprehensive guide to university sports management courses.

CIES General Secretary, Vincent Schatzmann, expressed delight on hearing news of the 2015 rankings. "To once again be named as one of the top 5 courses in the world is a tribute to not only the hard work of the academic and administrative staff at the CIES, but also to the efforts and dedication of the FIFA Master academic partners at De Montfort University in the United Kingdom, the SDA Bocconi School of Management in Italy and the University of Neuchatel in Switzerland.”
