Over a hundred students received their certificates at the closing ceremony of the 17th edition of the CU/FIFA/CIES International Programme in Sports Management last week in Cairo (Egypt).

Cairo University, a partner of CIES for nearly two decades, awarded certificates to more than a hundred students from eleven different countries (Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Côte d'Ivoire, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, France, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Qatar and Tunisia) after they passed their exams and successfully presented their group projects.

In Egypt, the CU/FIFA/CIES International Programme is taught in three languages (Arabic, English and French). In addition to courses in key areas of sports management, students attended five conferences with international experts organised by CIES, as well as various visits enabling them to meet Egyptian sports professionals, including the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Al-Ahly Club, Egyptian Football Association, Egyptian National Olympic Committee and Cairo Stadium.

It is very satisfying to see how the CU/FIFA/CIES International Programme, which receives several hundred applications each year, is making its mark in Egypt and throughout the region. It is helping to train a new generation of managers so that they can thrive in an increasingly changing and complex sporting environment.

Many thanks to the excellent team at Cairo University and congratulations to the new graduates who showed such extraordinary enthusiasm at the closing ceremony.
